A KPLC reference number refers to a unique identifier allocated to a particular KPLC application. In this case, it is usually a string of numbers consisting of letters and numbers.

In some of our previous articles, we highlighted the ways in which one can register and create a KPLC self service account to be used to apply for KPLC electricity connection upon which the applicant can occasionally check the KPLC application status

In some scenarios, the KPLC reference number may be required by KPLC staff to follow up on an issue and in such a circumstance, one can use the below procedure to check KPLC reference number.

How To Check KPLC Reference Number

Go to the KPLC self service portal

Login to your account so as to access the main window containing a list of all KPLC accounts.

On the right side of the window, click on the ‘New Applications’ link to bring up a list of all available applications.

From the list, the reference number is located in the 2nd column labelled ‘Reference’
