Electricity consumption management is among the benefits realized through the use of prepaid meters and as such, most households have shun postpaid systems in favor of the former.
However, not all is rosy on the favored side due to frequent token delays upon purchase as well as prepaid meter errors.
Speaking of token purchases, there are various channels with which one can buy tokens. These include;
- Buy tokens via Paybill/Mpesa
- Buying tokens via Equitel
- Buying tokens via Airtel Money
- Buying tokens via Bonga Points
- Buying tokens online
Using any of the above avenues will produce a 20-digit token code that can be entered into the prepaid meter. However, there are situations whereby the token may be misplaced or accidentally deleted before feeding it into the CIU meters.
