M-pawa is a mobile banking application operated by Stima sacco.The platform provides all the Stima sacco members access to their accounts through the comfort of their mobile phone devices via the M-pawa app or ussd code *489#
Through the M-pawa service, members can also effect various transactions such as internal/external fund transfers, withdrawals, airtime top-ups, utility payments, balance enquiries, customer service requests as well as loan advances e.g ussd loans, salary advance.
However, before any member can benefit from the service, prior registration and activation is required as per below process.
How To Register Stima Sacco M-pawa
To begin the registration process, one is required to visit any Stima sacco branch and fill out the M-pawa application form whereby the required details include; full names, national ID number, member number, phone number and email address.
Upon successful registration, a start PIN will be sent to the registered phone number provided above.
How To Activate Stima Sacco M-pawa
- Dial *489# from a Safaricom enabled sim card. (Note: M-pawa is only accessible via the Safaricom network)
- Change to a new 6-digit PIN
- Login and set up the required security questions.
- Dial *489# and enter new PIN
- Proceed to answer the security questions.
Note: As a security feature, M-pawa app only works with phone data bundles and not wifi
