Mwalimu Sacco is arguably one of the oldest and largest Saccos in Kenya and Africa at large. It is also the most trusted Sacco, with its formation focused on enabling its members drawn from Kenyan teachers across the country to access convenient and affordable loans.

As a result of its expanding membership, the sacco has opened many branches across the country to adjust to its ever-expanding membership.

Like most of the major Saccos, Mwalimu Sacco has its headquarters in Nairobi. Initially, it had its offices in Development House along Moi Avenue before relocating to Tom Mboya in 1984 and three decades later shifting it to Upper Hill where it currently stands.
